Survived global what? Nevertheless, congratulations on the results.
Ty for such a helpful video! Good job!🎉
ts is NOT even close to hard
This is far from the hardest a level further maths question. It may long and tedious and easy to mess up, but if you know your hyperbolic substitutions and hyperbolic identities then this should be a piece of cake as long as you are careful not to make any silly mistakes. Also, since the correct answer is already given, you'll know if you have made any mistakes or not when you've finished the question and can go back and correct your working if necessary.
History GCSE tmrow I’m so cooked 🙏🙏
I'm fucked
same icl
same here
When you take the 9 out of the square root sign, should it not be a 3?
What results did u get in lower sixth?
How do I improve in those last question at the end. How do I prepay for a question like that
Thank you very much this helped me alot pls keep making more of these to help people out as they are so helpful ❤️
for question 6 would it not be 2( pie r^2 )
U probably didn't need the notebook and posters lol
Why does he call it shine
screams in 'just picked further maths' (looks fun tho tbh)
Dw....looks bad but isn't bad. Personally, I don't like polar coordinates. Anything with graph sketching, I'm awful at but polar coordinates is even more funky.
why must be radiant
Great tips, really helpful - from an MFL teacher :)
for a 6 marker, this is 99% algebraic manipulation and 1% actual further maths knowledge😂
You can just also use Further Maths knowledge and get to your answer in like 2 steps. Step 1) Get your complex number in terms of modulus argument form. Step 2) Apply De Moivre's theorem. It didn't actually state the form with which the answer is meant to be stated so one would assume any form will suffice. If it asks for complex form, just expand your brackets and you have your answer. If it asks for exponential form, re^(iø) where r represents your modulus and ø is your argument.
X+2 = 3tanu is much cleaner. Ends up w/ 9 int(sec^3u), which is very standard and nice to remember bc it is (secx derivative + anti derivative)/2 [or by parts if you can’t recall this]. From there isolate theta and find sec and tan and plug back in
yes that's what I thought too and the 9/2 ln(1/3) would just be part of the constant remaining from the integral
And people say I'm weird because I listen to Chassidic Pop and Jewish Pop in the Philippines and I marked as a 99% on Obscurify LOL
This question is so easy
It's perfectly valid just to differentiate the right hand side. This bypasses any need to use hyperbolic trig function - and it just becomes a single maths chain rule/product rule question.
My thoughts exactly. If there are NO restrictions explicitly stated on how to approach the question. The student should assume any valid method to prove he assertion is available.
My thoughts precisely...it simply stated to prove the integral of the expression is equal to the stated result, but didn't mention how to go about it. But in a Further Maths paper, couple of things: 1) This would not be 15 marks (at least for Edexcel). Max about 7-8 marks. 2) They would never give the result unless it's a definite integral.
@anonymousms2005 Yeah, looking back, there are a couple of cases where I remember that they gave the result of the integral, but it's not very common, as you say. After coming out of the exam, I wasn't really confident because I finished the paper on the dot just as the invigilator told us to put our pens down. I had a very very slow start, but having spoken to my friends to ask what they got, they generally got the same answers as me so I'm more confident now but there are bits and pieces from that paper, which I'm still slightly nervous about. I just hope I smash the other papers in the next few weeks. What about you? How did you find it?
@anonymousms2005 Nice! I wish you the best of luck for the remaining papers. I do FM1 and FS1. I'm not too bad with FM1 but I'm not great at Impulse so need to work on that. FS1, Idk. Because of the decimal answers, I get super paranoid that I've got the wrong answer. Where are you going to go if you meet your requirements?
@anonymousms2005 Nice! If I get A*AAA (A* in Maths) and then grade 2 in STEP II, I'll be going to Imperial for Computing. Otherwise if I get 3 A*s, I'll be going to Edinburgh for Computing. I got rejected by Durham and Cambridge. I might see you in London if all goes to plan 😂.
Bro I was happy with my B in AS fm
Would you ever sell your notes
Watch MIT integration bee. You'll see some quick integration there with some tricks. This was relatively easy after substituting, that being said I done my further maths a level 6 years ago
What paper is this from?
Bruh 11 A*s is crazy
Change the title to a level mazz
This is impressive and everything, but its just not really useful at all. barely teaches anything and just kinda gives the answer to a question that is unlikely to pop up
Going to y 8
so screwed for this tomorrow
Interesting taste but this ain't my type of music i like trash and death metal
I just used regular trigonometric substitution, substituting tangent theta and then using a Pythagorean identity and just working my way through
I would be so happy if a question like this came up on my FM A-Level Paper. Its a long question but it's all generally quite easy hyperbolic.
Good luck dude
GCSE tmrw this is my last ditch effort
i hate it
graph transformations and circle geometry are the most annoying year 1 topics
Someone has been playing too much wii sports, hehe, lovely video! I see you pay attention to details and point up as many as you can, i like that
Thank you!!
Am i the only one that thinks the speaking is the easiest?
Hello, I am going to give my german exam in Feb March series and I just wanted to know if the topic conversation questions are always the same? Like I found the 7 topic conversations and their questions from the teacher examiner handbook(I think ) but I wanted to know if these questions are always the same or do you get new questions at the time of the exam?
where r u?
What's the German singers name?
Thank you for the recap. In a question I had encountered, the answer shoed that I had to add π to the alpha angle in my final answer
You can also go to Year 13 and 14 in a secondary school. Although it is not compulsory there is the option. I am doing it.
If self-teaching , how long do you think it will take to complete further maths? Aiming for roughly 6 hours a day.
I think if u watch videos you could learn it in 1 months probs but that would be just the content
about 2-weeks to 1 month. Make sure to do the revision exercises in the revision textbooks (these sometimes come up in the exam). Use Madas maths and past papers to strengthen your exam skills
It's not particularly difficult to get a good conceptual understanding depending on how comfortable you are dealith with abstractions, especially in further pure 2. Mastering them enough to do well in exams though, may take around 3 months if you're diligent and focused
watch tl maths on youtube he covers the whole of pure and so for aqa he basically secures a high grade if you watch all his videos
How is A a 7 or 8? In Brazil we consider that to be a B. A is 9 or higher, which I think is fair.
There is nothing higher than a 9
I might sound crazy, but as someone who aspires to do a Bachelors in science in psychology, I am thinking of doing 7 A-levels, that is Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Further Maths, English, Biology and psychology. Is it feasible to do further maths in this case, or should I drop it? I have already gotten 7A's (aggregate PUM of 96%) in my AS year, and an A (99%) in AS Further Maths...
thats an insane amount of workload bro hope your managing it well. and since u got a 99% in furhter maths u can surely continue it
hi what book/past paper was this q from?
This is a difficult question in the sense that it can be easy to mess up in your algebra, but you’re given the answer so you can easily correct it. If you can recognise to make a hyperbolic substitution then I don’t think it’s really that bad after that. There are a lot of harder questions that this in Further maths, but that’s just me being bad at other topics :)
where are you its been a year ):
I have the small advantage that im from germany xD
Ima start trying this when the new year starts but I think Ima try like every 2 or 3 months
